I use this heater along with other stand alone heaters. I actually have this unit and two others (different style). All together, my long, rectangular home is well heated. At times, I even have to turn one unit off because I get too hot. My home is a comfy 78-79 degrees. The temperature dials are really not marked well on this model, so you have to adjust to temperature dial as you feel the heat. With three units about 12-15 feet apart each, I get that exact feel I want in my home. The unit panels do get hot, so don't touch them when heated. Always use the side handles or wait for the unit to cool down before moving around. Overall, I am please with the purchase so far. I've had it for about a month now.
