Better Homes & Gardens Glass 21oz Tumbler Ribbed with Glass Lid and Straw

Wow what sturdy and beautiful glass cups these are, although there are many plastic designs I've tried but this looks really nice with your favorite drink. Can take along anywhere but with glass you've to be careful always. It's not thin walled but the lid is leakproof and makes it worth it.

I've been looking for glasses like this for a while! First of all, the lids do NOT sit tightly because they can't. Glass on glass, without some sort of barrier, doesn't do well for obvious reasons. The majority of the comparable tumblers have lids just purely just sit on top. These do have a silicone gasket that creates a seal but it's not the same as a glass cup with a plastic lid or a fully plastic cup, but it does work well. None of my lids fall off or shift out of place during normal use around the house. Secondly, the sticker on the bottom says hand wash only. Just be aware before you buy them. Thirdly, they're easy to clean and all of my existing cup and straw brushes fit fine. The texture is only on the outside and I haven't experienced it being difficult to clean. I imagine if you touch them with food on your hands and then don't wash it off, that could be a problem, especially on the lid. Lastly, my only complaint is the size. The glasses I replaced these with have a similar capacity but these are a tapered design (very wide up top) and due to how thick the glass is, still pretty wide at the bottom. It's taken some time to get used to. If you have small hands, these aren't for you. Otherwise, these wash well, look beautiful, and are functional. Plus, the price is fantastic! I make at least two lattes a day in them and have had zero issues.
