Audio-Technica AT81CP Cartridge, Black

It's a trusted name at a low price. I had a very similar cartridge which sounded fine but the stylus tip seemed to wear out and the cost of a stylus replacement is almost as much as the entire cartridge. Also I can't see buying an expensive cartridge because so much of the sound quality depends on the receiver characteristics, speaker quality, speaker placement, and room size. If this cartridge fits your system's attributes then it will be fine. For me, some albums sound awesome with this cartridge and others produce too much in the high frequencies. Fortunately I use an equalizer so I can adjust to accommodate for my preference. This is a P-mount cartridge with no adapter, which is what I wanted.
