From the time I began singing at the age of 5, I can remember always wanting to record an album. I was offered an opportunity to do just that by a talent scout from Warner Brothers Records shortly after I was married. When I discovered I was pregnant with our first child, I declined the opportunity. Since then I always wondered, quot;What if I had accepted the offer?quot; I think many of us often reflect on past opportunities, wondering how our lives would have been different. I don't regret my decision to decline the Warner Brothers opportunity because I raised four beautiful, healthy children and my husband! I am proud to be a devoted wife and mother; I often said, quot;A performing career will always be there, but having a family can't wait.quot; After receiving my B.S. in Music Eduation, I was a Music and Drama Educator for over 25 years. I also produced, directed, acted and wrote for theatre while directing music and cantoring at various churches. Now that my children are grown, it is quot;my timequot; to share the voice with which God entrusted me for the entertainment of others. Upon meeting the right individuals, I decided to make it happen! I truly hope you enjoy the unique, original arrangements and my personal interpretations of the classic standards on this CD. Each song that I have recorded is significant either in my life or in the lives of my loved ones.
