The 14 lb is so much more costly than the 40 lb per unit so you are penalized for packaging, but it is easier to lift and carry up stairs in an apartment building, move around, and store, although still a challenge since I permanently lost a lot of strength after my rotator cuff surgery. The lightweight litters just aren't that absorbent. I scoop often and change out the litter frequently. I use a liner and have two pans. My semiferal prefers the texture.

This is an item regularly ordered and needed. With one or two exceptions, it is delivered intact and used in cat's litter box. No odor and very easy clean-up.
