GREAT LITTLE WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER

MY 12,000 BTU WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER WAS JUST NOT BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP MY BEDROOM COOL. IT WAS TOO FAR AWAY. SO I LOOKED FOR A SMALL WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER THAT COULD HANDLE MY BEDROOM, WITH THE DOOR CLOSED. THE ARTIC KING AT WALMART WAS THE LOWEST PRICED UNIT, AND HAS WORKED JUST THE WAY I WANTED. IT KEEPS THE BEDROOM VERY COOL AND CAN BE ADJUSTED FOR VARIOUS OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS. I CAREFULLY MEASURED MY WINDOW HEIGHT, SINCE I HAVE HALF SIZE BEDROOM WINDOWS AND SOME 5,000 BTU AIR CONDITIONERS WERE TOO HIGH TO FIT INTO THE MEASUREMENT BETWEEN THE SILL AND TOP OF THE OPEN SASH. THE AIR KING FIT VERY COMFORTABLY. IT WAS EASY TO INSTALL, ALTHOUGH I WOULD CAUTION CARE IN READING THE INSTRUCTIONS AND EXACT MEASUREMENTS. ALL IN ALL, A WINNER IN PERFORMANCE AND COST.

I have been looking for years for a standard air conditioner for my 1948 windows. Yes, I did find casement window air conditioners but they were over $450! After searching everywhere online, I found this one. Not only would it fit my window but it fit my budget too! I ordered it picked it up at my local Wal-Mart about 10 days later. Installed with ease and it works properly in this summer heatwave. I am using it only in a standard sized bedroom and it works well.

Cools One room great

I bought two of these. One for my living room and one for my bedroom. I keep my dogs crated in the living during the day when I am gone and this helps them beat the heat and the room gets super cool during the day with it on. The one is the bedroom is the same. I sometimes find myself waking up at night because it is too cold. They will only cool one room, but putting a fan in front of the doorway it is in helps spread the cool air to the kitchen. We only use 3 rooms in our apartment right now. I would buy them again.
