Let your creative instincts take over with the Arches oil painting pad. Each sheet is made of 100% cotton on a cylinder mold and has a soothing white shade. Its fine grain texture adds character to your artwork. You can use this 140-pound cold press paper to create marouflage paintings with your choicest oil paints and pastels. This acid-free, 300 gsm Arches oil pad has sheets that resemble a stretched canvas. They do not need preparation before use. Your paints remain on the surface of these sheets and dry quickly, as each sheet is semi-absorbent. 12 sheets. 12 in x 16 in. Contains alkaline reserve. Without optical brightening agents (Adheres to ISO 9706)

It's Arches, what's left to say.
I use water solvable oils on this Arches Oil Paper. It's good for anything you wish for, I.e. acrylics, etc. If I'm doing a painting for framing, I glue the sheet to chip board or any stif surface, and you have a painting panel. The lightly textured surface is just enough tooth for me. I also use it to make my test color blocks and other testing that I do to determine the best use for any particular color. The surface is bright enough to work well. I purchase two sizes that are suited for me. The 12"by16" pads and the 9" by 12" pads for Plein Air painting. Easy and light to pack in and out of location. I use this to do a test painting then switch to my normal smooth cradled smooth gessoed boards for my final painting. Try it.
