This classic blue and white aquarium filter pad are a popular multipurpose filter media perfect for freshwater or saltwater aquariums. The cut-to-fit filter pad's resilient fibers trap floating debris to help keep your aquarium water crystal clear; the open fiber construction promotes water flow and stops premature clogging. Place the filter pad for the fish tank in flowing water to trap uneaten food, waste, decaying plants, detritus, and other floating particulates from the water. Changing filter pads regularly will increase water quality by removing solid organic compounds before they break down and adding extra nutrients (which can increase algae growth) to the water in your fish tank. The pad is constructed of durable polyester fibers bonded by our special resin to give the media exceptional strength.
