Hard to lock open and dismantle

The Aquaplay LockBox seems like fun and my grandson liked it. It's very difficult to secure open though, and I can't imagine taking it apart for storage, although that was initially a big selling feature for me. Quality control seems to be lacking for this product, as the first one sent to me was missing one of the rubber stick ons to keep the water from leaking out. I was told to return the entire LockBox and received a second one, but this time there were double items, so someone else is probably missing some pieces.
