Aqua Culture 5 Gallon Glass Aquarium Starter Kit

I recently bought this kit in order to set it up for a Betta. I was not really sure what to expect, since it seemed so reasonably priced. It came very well packaged, and the more I unboxed it, the more I was impressed by its quality. It is glass rather than plastic, which I really liked. It was so incredibly light though, so you might think it IS plastic. Not like the old HEAVY glass aquariums, thank goodness! As I was setting it up, I was wondering about how much noise the included filter might make when running, since I had read so many articles beforehand on Google from people complaining about how loud some of theirs are. Another pleasant surprise! The filter is SO quiet that I can't even hear it sitting 6' away! I can barely hear it standing directly above it! I really liked that you can adjust the water flow too. I bought a small heater from Walmart, and also a digital thermometer. The little heater is keeping the water at 80.2 degrees, perfect for a Betta. I also bought a silicone, Betta “hammock”, and a silicone fern plant that looks great, and is SO soft also. It is so pretty I am going back for a couple more! I wasn't really sure what to expect with this kit, since it is so much cheaper than a lot of others I had looked at. Fortunately, I have been very impressed with the kit, Probably going to pick out my new Betta today, along with a few live plants for him to play in. I can't wait to see what he does as soon as I put him in the tank. I have no doubt that he will be very pleasantly surprised with his new habitat. There isn't one thing that I dislike about this kit. I am totally sure the Betta will love it too!

My coworker %26 I got this tank for our shared office bc we wanted something fun…we wanted shrimp. We love that it comes with a lid %26 filtration system. Make sure to buy filter sponge covers though so the filter (if on high setting) doesn't try to suck in any tank residents. Our new office mates are thriving %26 happy. A few tiny fish %26 shrimp! Came well packaged with clear instructions %26 info, minus the fish suggestions. Please don't follow that, do your research on whatever fish or crustacean you may want for certain tank gallon sizes.
