Just had a 6 inch snowstorm. Tires worked great.

These tires were put on our Mini Countryman. Snow is no match as they perform very well. Starting and stopping is very good on slippery roads. I also have a set on my Ram pickup and they perform super! I actually plow with them and have never gotten stuck.

Great value for the money!

I only bought one General Altimax Arctic 12 tire this time as a replacement for one destroyed (along with the winter rim) by a pothole at the end of last winter. I will get it studded like the rest of the same brand of tires for my car this winter. I have had, more expensive, studless Michelin ice radials on my cars in the past but I feel far more confident, especially in icy conditions, with the General tires. I have been running them for the last four winters. They have been sure-footed in all winter conditions and long lasting as well. Yes, studded tires are noisier but it is traction and control I am most concerned about in the winter. I'll enjoy a quieter ride in the summer with all season tires (General G-Max AS-07).
