Absolutely NO WASTE from feed being scattered!

I read lots of reviews on this feeder before I bought mine. It took a while for the birds to get used to it, but I found it has a couple of significant benefits: 1) It is very easy to fill, although I find the seeds come out the bottom more easily if you only fill it half-full; and 2) There is absolutely NO WASTE from the feed getting scattered on the ground! We had problems with red squirrels and large blackbirds camping out in the trays of my old feeder and scattering feed everywhere until they found the particular seed they wanted, and I was going through 20-30 pounds of bird food a week! We had raccoons and deer and wild turkeys coming in from all over the neighborhood to eat at our house, and they demolished my flowers and lawn and apple trees. This new feeder took care of all that, and I'm saving money to boot. RECOMMEND!!
