The protection plan is a rip off

I have purchased at least 6 of these items prior to purchasing the last pair, they all have the same defect the ear piece becomes detached very easily. this last pair i purchased the 3 year protection plan on July 5, 2021 they broke in august same defect. contacted store because its within the 90 days, i wont go into all of the sending me between 4 companies to resolve the issue but i was sent a check for $54.00 as compared to the $72.43 i paid and my protection plan ended after my claim was filled the price was prorated.
