Anubias barteri are easy to grow live aquarium plants known for their hardy nature. These slow growing plants have what is called a rhizome meaning you want to avoid burying the entire plant otherwise the plant can die. It is best practice to attach the rhizome to a surface with thread to superglue rather than planting. Anubias plants are one of few plants that can be kept with more destructive fish like cichlids and goldfish due to their tough nature and thick leaves. Low to medium light is optimal for Anubias plants, when the lighting is too strong it can sometimes cause algae to grow on the leaves.
