These work just as described, you need to be in the same room of close to the plugs to get them synced with your bluetooth on your phone, but after that they work anywhere in my house. Love this little block! You will pay more for this brand name but you pay for what you get! How many blocks have I purchased and they have a short life. Well I don't foresee buying anymore for a long time. This has a fast charging time, two ports and I think the prongs fold in for safe transport. Ankler is a trustworthy brand.
