We love angelcare. We had a single camera for almost two years. A year ago the screen cracked and it lasted for another year and then died. We decided to get the duel one and so far so good. I like that you can talk through it. Camera quality is good and the aound is great. The monitor itself is big but it works. Great for two or more babies/kids. The camera thats mounted on the ceiling always says its a higher temp then what it really is. Which is expected

Lots of Features, Lots of Problems

This monitor seems perfect, but I was not happy with it at all. The good aspects of this monitor include that it's easy to set up. It comes with the cameras synced and it's basically ready to plug in and use. The screen is a nice size and the parent unit is very light, but the monitor felt weirdly large. The temperature read out is great and it's awesome that you can buy a motion sensing pad and be alerted to a lack of movement. I did decide after a very short period of time that I was not keeping this monitor so I can't say how well the pad works or how accurate the temperature is. Within the hour of unboxing this I was ready to return it. For starters, the “touch screen” is really just on screen buttons. They are slow to respond when you hit them if they respond at all. Two times in the first half hour of use I had the monitor freeze completely when trying to use the buttons. The pan feature isn't really what it seems either. On my previous monitor, a Motorola, the camera would actually move and I could see nearly the whole room just by pressing the motion buttons. With this unit the actual view location doesn't change. After using the menu to zoom in, you can move around the zoomed in image. Also, even though I was only about 30 feet from the camera it lost the signal once. I know it probably wouldn't be a complaint if I weren't annoyed with the unit, but the battery cover is a little bit awkward. The same can be said for the lack of specific function buttons. Not having a single button to switch cameras wouldn't be a game changer by itself, but on top of the spotty button function it was a hassle to switch from one camera to another. I would not recommend this monitor. The price is great, but it doesn't feel worth the savings to me.
