My third expansion tank

I have used two of these in the next smaller size (ST8). Both failed in a relatively short period of time. For the sake of fairness, i did have them mounted in a horizontal position, which is contrary to installation instructions. Following the advice of their tech support I upsized to this tank and installed it in the vertical position. Any of the thre tanks solved the problem with the relief valve until the diaphragm leaked and the tank became waterlogged. I will see how long this one lasts. It is covered by a 5 year warranty and they did replace the first one under that.
