Amish Marketplace Novel The Jam and Jelly Nook, Book 4, (Paperback)

This book is a visit with old friends, those that I have come to know and love from previous books, and as they move on with their lives we are updated! This is cousin Leanna's story, and her journey along with her son Chester, a young man that is sewing his wild oats, and unsure of where he should plant his feet. Chester is the catalyst to a meeting with widower Emory, and a change in both of their lives. We are there as Leanna embraces and helps Emory's daughter Maggie, and we watch as Emory begins a new relationship. This is the fourth and final book in this series, and I will miss the updates, but loved the epilogue, what a great ending! I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Zondervan, and was not required to give a positive review.

The Jam and Jelly Nook is the story of Leanna Wengard from Amy Clipston's popular Amish Marketplace series. Unlike her cousins in the previous books, Leanna had been married to Marlin at a young age. They were happy together, and had one son, Chester. Seven years prior to this story, Marlin is tragically killed in an accident. Believing her days of romance are over, Leanna had started her Jam and Jelly Nook to help support her and Chester. Things are going well until Chester lands himself in hot water with the police. When Leanna goes to pick him up from the police station, she runs into Emory Speicher. Like Leanna, Emory has been widowed and left to raise his teenage daughter alone. Maggie, Emory's daughter, was also trespassing with Chester, and has also landed herself a warning from the police. Frustrated with their children's behavior, Emory and Leanna strike up an unlikely friendship. Each takes the other's child under their wing in an attempt to help the other. Together, Leanna and Emory navigate the tenuous waters of raising teenagers as single parents in a community where single parents are not the norm.
