Sony - American Outlaws [BLU-RAY]

I love this movie and it was easy to purchase at Wal-Mart.com

We live in an age where the Western once dominated Hollywood but those days are gone, but every so often the rebelliousness, the freedom, and the excitement of those days are recalled and find their way to appeal to modern sensibilities. This movie was one of those, with a fun cast and a historical retelling that was fun to watch. The end of the Civil War lead a unit of Missouri boys, The Younger brothers and the James brothers back home to endure the manipulations of a greedy Railroad baron. But these men have grown strong since the war and will not allow such actions against their homes and families. So, they declare their war against the railroad baron by becoming outlaws and thieves all the while the federal government comes to their assistance as the people make heroes out of the outlaws with Jesse James becoming a champion of the people. But all good things must come to an end, but with plenty of action and excitement on the way. Like most historical adaptations, this was unfaithful to history, but it was still fun to watch. Colin Farrell and Scott Caan make a fun and great wild west movie. Ali Larter is the hot and spirited love interest and Timothy Dalton does a good job as an adversary. Old-fashioned but with a touch of modern action and excitement. A time well spent, I enjoyed seeing this on Blu-ray with its picture quality, and special features.
