For the price, as compared to others that were in the $100s, I expected it to be somewhat flimsy but it is heavy metal framing and the screen material is also rigid and not flimsy. The design works because it adds a little whimsy but doesn't obstruct your view of the logs and fire. It also helps that the screen part is black instead of a lighter color that would wash out what's behind it. The inside of my fireplace is black. I m expecting it to last a long time. Glad I didn't spend more.
