I was totally fed-up with the landscape fabric that is sold at the big-box hardware stores. One buys it, puts the effort in to installing it, then the weeds grow right up through it. Either that or it is so thin that it tears easy and will not hold up over time. Also allowing the weeds to get through. While researching online for better quality, more commercial type landscape fabrics, I came across this Amagabeli 5.8oz 3ft x 300ft Weed Barrier Landscape Fabric. It had great reviews and the multi-layer construction design is superior to many others. I am quite impressed with it but I will offer a few tips if you are shopping for Amagabeli. First, it was difficult to locate in November. I am in Florida where we landscape year-round. Evidently, the manufacturer and the various sellers of this product, must deplete their stock for the winter months. I needed 350ft. of the 3ft wide fabric. Not even the manufacturer had any 50' rolls in stock. Walmart had the 300ft. rolls but not the 50' rolls. I could not find the Amagabeli. 5.8oz , 3ft x 50' rolls elsewhere, that were not outrageously over priced. I ended up back on Walmart.com, purchasing a different brand, to complete what I needed. Second, be sure that you are getting the Amagabeli 5.8oz fabric, not their 3.2oz fabric. A 50ft. roll that I obtained elsewhere, said 5.8oz. on the label. However, it was actually a wrongly labeled roll of their paper thin, 3.2oz. fabric. Always check the ounce rating on any brand of landscape fabric. Unless it is for some temporary purpose, don't waste your money and your install labor on anything less than a 5oz fabric. The thicker the better. Remember, "The cheap usually comes out expensive, when one has to re-do the job prematurely." I have often told my clients, "You never have the money to do it right the first time, but you always have the money to do it right the second time. This Amagabeli 5.8oz Weed Barrier Landscape Fabric is a bit more cost, but worth every penny. Oh sorry, they don't make penny coins anymore. It is worth every nickle.
