This does not work well when there are suddenly a lot of house flies. The flies were not attracted to it as expected and if they were it would fill quickly due to the size. This is small and attractive design so it can be placed in inconspicuous areas such as on a widow frame in case there are a few occasional house or fruit flies . . A bowl with vinegar and dish detergent works just as well .

I spilled the the liquid on my hands when opening the small container. It also spilled on my Kleenex and then I used the Kleenex and got the liquid on my lips. Now my lips are burning. Dont use if you are old and dont have much strength in your hands!

Hot shot flying insect trap was a miss for me!
I purchased two of these items placed one of my front window sill and placed the second one on my kitchen window sill. Within a week the liquid evaporated not a single insect whether it was a fly or a KNAT was trapped.i believe that these items are like buying hay for the dead horse. I hope other people have better luck than I have had. My electric bug zapper work better. I mean a whole lot better.
