Showy reddish-violet flowers dazzle eyes in summer and fall, and delight hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Silverado Texas sage is a dense, mounded shrub with fuzzy, silvery grayish-green foliage and added interest from smooth gray bark. Exhibiting an upright spreading habit of growth, it’s an excellent choice in mass plantings, for hedges and screens, and general landscape use. Can also be featured as a specimen plant or mixed with other plants in a sunny container on the patio, along a walkway or garden path, or near an entryway. Admirably fills in those hot spots where other plants may struggle or fail. A natural for waterwise gardens, easy-care Silverado Texas sage is highly drought tolerant once established. Grows to 6’ feet high and wide. Plant in full sun. Thrives in poor, well-drained soils.
