Hexkey assembly, simple instructions, took less than two hours on my own. I would have preferred it not be hexkey because my fingers were in so much pain the next few days- find something to use as a cushion!!! The instructions are fairly straightforward, so it's mostly just dealing with the number of washers and bolts they require, which was quite a few. The frames are well made and sturdy. No complaints.
