New to inflatables
There are errors in the product description. First of all this is not a 12 foot kayak. The AHTK-5 is 10' 3" long. Second, the weight limit is 400, not 500 pounds. I am still happy with my purchase since this kayak will suit my purposes. This inflatable kayak will eliminate the need for a roof rack since it can be quickly deflates. The time to inflate was about 15-20 minutes with my AC/DC pump. Pennsylvania DCNR requires launch permits for boats, however, tubes do not. I have been unable to find out if this kayak requires a permit. I even called a park office and they could not tell me. You would not be able to place and keep the launch permit decal on the kayak. This kayak does not come with oars. I already have oars and not including oars was not a concern. If you are just starting and need oars try the Bestway Hydro Force Wave Line Kayak Set with Oars (65020). I also purckased this kayak and it seems to be a very good inflatable kayak for the price and it gave me an extra set of oars. The oars are not professional quality but adequate.

Perfect!!
I needed something inexpensive to go down the River. This inflatable Kayak was perfect for me. It was durable, easy to inflate, lightweight and easy to carry. It was easy for my teenage son to row and control. I easily deflated it and folded it back up into the box. I going to buy another one and would recommend it to anyone. The only thing I found wrong was the item description said it holds 500lbs but it actually holds only 400lbs.
