Ideal For: Artists seeking a high-quality, versati

The Prismacolor Premier Ultramarine (PC-902) is a vibrant, richly pigmented colored pencil favored by artists for its exceptional performance. Its soft, wax-based core allows for smooth application, making it ideal for layering, blending, and shading. The pencil's 3.8mm core is encased in a lacquered cedar casing, providing durability and ease of use. Pros: High-Quality Pigments: Offers vibrant and consistent color payoff. Smooth Application: The soft core provides a buttery texture, reducing hand fatigue during extended use. Versatility: Suitable for various techniques, including layering, blending, and detailing. Cons: Soft Core: While advantageous for blending, the soft core can break easily if not handled with care. Lightfastness: As with many colored pencils, prolonged exposure to light may cause colors to fade over time.

Rich pigmentation

I love using Prismacolor colored pencils because the pigmentation is rich and smooth. The ultramarine shade is vibrant, blends beautifully with other colors, and layers well without looking chalky. The pencil glides easily on paper and feels creamy, making it perfect for shading and gradients. The core is soft, so it can break if you press too hard, but the color payoff is worth it. Overall, it's a great choice for both beginners and professional artists who want depth and richness in their artwork.

Vibrant ultramarine with smooth coverage and easy

tried the Prismacolor Ultramarine pencil and it's honestly one of the nicest blues I've used. The coverage is smooth and even, and it blends really well with other shades. The color looks vibrant on the page, not dull or streaky. The pencil isn't too heavy, so it's comfortable to use for long sketches, and it stores easily with the rest of my Prismacolors. Overall, it's a beautiful shade that performs great for both details and larger areas.
