this is the weed trimmer you need. the speed is just like a gas mower. it has really good speed and power for thick grass. I used to own the lower model to this one and did not perform nearly as close to this one. you could literally mow the lawn with this one not just siding. the only down side is that the guard provides no protection, the grass hits you all the time.

Bought for my parents you replace an old trimmer, wanted an attachment ready one that accepted universal attachments and this fit the description. Very nice build quality, you could definitely tell this is basically a rebadged Ryobi which is good. Had plenty of power, no issues ripping through the grass and still plenty of battery power left when done. Add on you can throw on the edging attachment, blower, hedge trimmer, it the snow shovel in the winter it was a good buy . Would definitely recommend.
