A wide spacious cage for a couple of gerbils or hamsters. The wide curvy ramps allow scampering and quick play around the interior. The platforms help contain misplaced bedding, food, litter and waste. Why? Because of the deep grooves and raised edges that outline them. What does this mean? Less time spent cleaning around the exterior of the cage. The two access doors in the front mean that the inside can be wiped clean without removing everything, every time. The height is a good sized medium at around thirty inches. It works well on the floor or on a sturdy piece of furniture. One platform secures a deep food dish through the circle cutout. The included dish doesn't spill, and, when three quarters full, practically nothing can be knocked out. There's plenty of space up above for wheels and toys. The bottom is a deep tray that helps keep small animals and all contents inside. A small ferret could probably be housed by itself in this cage. It might even work for a couple of small birds if you added in a hanging perch, lowered all the platforms, and removed the ramps. The cage was assembled with the help of a tool since a few of the hooks were imperfect. The front and rear sections have thicker wire diameter than the sides. Wheels almost have to be mounted onto the left and right sides. The smaller wire diameter, of the sides, allows enough flexibility for the wheels to twist into the wire spacing, or hang onto the cage. The bottom is not flat so it won't slide unless picked up a little. It's not that easy to move once setup, but the side clamps hold the bottom tray good enough that you can pick it up carefully with the top wires.
