X-Sight II Rifle Scope

This scope is awesome! Night vision works pretty well. I plan to get a better infrared light than what comes with it. Easily can justify the expense of this scope as you can set profiles for multiple guns and calibers.The ATN user group on facebook is really helpful. Integration with the iPhone or iPad is great for making adjustments. The photo/video is really nice Would definitely recommend.

It's in a class of its own and nothing to compare it to considering all of the many features. This scope is wonderful yet can be frustrating when considering the short comings in several of the features to which I will list my problems with this scope. It adds alot of weight to your gun. It does not make for a good spotting scope past 50 yards as the digital view screen does not offer good resolution/definition after a certain point because of pixelation. Gen 1 scope fit both weaver and picatiny This gen 2 only picatiny . 1. Firmware/operating system can be buggy and result in delays and hangups that can possibly require a re-boot and sometimes a battery disconnect. 2. understand that it takes from 10-15 seconds to start up which can seem like eternity if you are in a hurry. 3. eye relief can be a problem on heavy recoil rifles as you must get your eye close to the cup. 4, looking into eyepiece is a chore especially when trying to focus on all the screen information as the outer peripheral areas of the screen seem to come in and out of focus. 5. batteries do not last but about a hour and a external battery supply is almost a given which adds extra bling bling to a set up. 6. rubber option selection buttons on top do not always respond and you can find yourself working to get a response. 7. focus knob is HARD to turn resulting in frustration. after-market knobs available to address this issue however. 8. iluminator attaches in a fixed position which does not always allow for the best cast of IR light on the focal point.. after-market holders available with adjustable positioning. 9. resolution extra blurry past optical range. however even with the 3-14 you can zoom out to 50x digital. 10. zoom NOT smooth as advertised. Must hold button down until zoom starts to jerk through magnification levels 11. sometimes requires supplied pin hole filter for best view/contrast in bright sunlight. 12 cannot record or take snap shots when in wifi mode for remote viewing and operation. 13. range finder NOT accurate
