Decent Device Ruined by Walmart Checkout Process

This was a decent personal hotspot for my use. I needed something to fulfill the rest of my $300 per year prepaid tablet and hotspot plan I was unable to cancel before renewal. I use it while running errands and being in the park. I did not use it to work from home. Unfortunately I had to return it. Walmart did not scan it out correctly so the device was reported stolen. Cellular service stopped connecting and I lost 3 weeks of unused data. I even confirmed at pickup it was scanned out in Electronics because this was common in other reviews. Walmart needs to properly train their teams on the proper procedure to sell these hotspots. It is absolutely ridiculous there are so many reviews about the same issue of the devices being reported stolen. The carrier dies not inform you, you just lose connection.

I didn't like the fact that when I had to call AT%26T. For customer service. They told me that Walmart had not scanned my item and so therefore, it was locked and still belonged to Walmart after I had paid for it when I went to the store to return it or to get the items scan so it could be released. There's nothing wrong with this thing except for Walmart has proprietary issue on it and it was never scan. Because I purchased it online paid for it online and picked it up. Curbside, I've had to drive to the Store Twice. Take half a day off work because I well not awesome. I work at night. I did get any sleep. I gotta go back to work tonight. And I need internet and it's a simple case of nobody in the store. Knowing how to scan this barcode on the box show that the item is with paid for and released. I'm not disappointed with the product, but I'm continually disappointed with face-to-face contact with Walmart. Employees who tell me they can't do anything

Do not buy. Waste of money

Do not buy this device. Also make sure that Walmart scans the barcode before you leave the store or else it's useless and AT%26T won't do anything about it. Also bought a $50 credit for the hotspot only for it to work half a day and then it got disconnected and was told that I was out of that money. Waste of time and money.
