Decent Device Ruined by Walmart Checkout Process

This was a decent personal hotspot for my use. I needed something to fulfill the rest of my $300 per year prepaid tablet and hotspot plan I was unable to cancel before renewal. I use it while running errands and being in the park. I did not use it to work from home. Unfortunately I had to return it. Walmart did not scan it out correctly so the device was reported stolen. Cellular service stopped connecting and I lost 3 weeks of unused data. I even confirmed at pickup it was scanned out in Electronics because this was common in other reviews. Walmart needs to properly train their teams on the proper procedure to sell these hotspots. It is absolutely ridiculous there are so many reviews about the same issue of the devices being reported stolen. The carrier dies not inform you, you just lose connection.

Do not buy. Waste of money

Do not buy this device. Also make sure that Walmart scans the barcode before you leave the store or else it's useless and AT%26T won't do anything about it. Also bought a $50 credit for the hotspot only for it to work half a day and then it got disconnected and was told that I was out of that money. Waste of time and money.

Total of 7 days and customer service along with technical support for ATT were unable to connect my hotspot device , we tried everything surprisingly i will get a refund on the data plan of 65 dollars i was unable to use now im putting my hope in trust that Walmart will cooperate and refund fhe wasted money spent on the device itself
