I haven't got this laptop yet, But I'm writing this for the people who are worried/have coil whine. There is a fix for and do not let the coil whine be the reason you don't buy this laptop, all you need to do *once you notice it*, download throttle stop and uncheck CE1.
if this doesn't completely fix it, check Asus rog forums and there you will find a command prompt that will fix it. For the people who are worried about the issues that occurred about the loud fan noise and heat. Just go into your battery plan settings and change the intake while plugged in, to %99, which was originally %100, this does not lower performance, it just disables turbo boost, which was overclocking the CPU, therefore it's pushing the fans and the CPU is heating up, and for better thermals, change your battery performance from "best performance (stock)" to just "better performance." Another thing is to undervolt the CPU using Intel XTU. The base clock of the Intel 8300H (which comes in this laptop) is at 2.3ghz. but stock settings it ranges between 3.6 to 3.9 which, again, is pushing the CPU to its limit (which is 4.1). You would want to undervolt it to 0.110v. It won't affect the performance it would just reduce heat. I hope I helped some of you that already bought this laptop. It's an amazing laptop with mediocre specs that do the job, amazing color accuracy and high refresh rate screen, awesome RGB keyboard and a dope design.
This laptop is 1100-1000 dollars to 849 dollars (as in 6/1/2019) which is a great offer, I'll be getting it soon.
