The AMD Ryzen 5 9600X is the best value for gaming on the market right now. I've done two builds with this chip, and it definitely doesn't disappoint. If your primary focus is gaming, and you want the best value for your money, this is the chip you want. It compares favorably to Intel's 14600k due to the 4nm TSMC process and a very power-efficient 65W TDP. The thermals are just better. It's close enough to the 9700X in gaming that you would only choose the latter for productivity reasons, but at a significant cost increase. While the 7800X3D and 9800X3D chips are better, you're paying more than double the price. The 7800X3D is about 8-15% better at 1080P for more than twice the price. That difference drops off significantly at higher resolutions which are more GPU bound. Save your money and invest in a nice GPU. This is the king of budget gaming.

It is the perfect match for my little sister's build, it matches well with the rx 9060 xt (16gb). It was perfect for the price at the time that I purchased it.
