An ACDelco GM Original Equipment Radiator Cap is a spring loaded cap that seals the radiator filler neck or surge tank, and is a GM-recommended replacement for your vehicles original component. It maintains pressure on the cooling system while the engine is operating, which raises the boiling point of the engine coolant. It also replenishes the system with coolant from the expansion tank (if equipped) when the engine cools off. This original equipment radiator cap has been manufactured to fit your GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.

I bought this for my 2011 Chevy Silverado with the LC9 engine, and so far, it's been working great. Time will tell how well it holds up, but after about 100 miles, it's performing solidly. I was a little skeptical at first, but I'd definitely recommend it. I usually stick with OEM parts, especially since my engine has 6,884 hours and counting, but this is the first aftermarket part I've tried—and I'm very pleased with it. If you don't believe the hours, I included a picture. The coolant you see isn't from the cap—I just spilled a little while changing.
