A Book For Volkswagen Enthusiast : Things You Should Know: Volkswagen History (Paperback)

On May 28, 1937, the government of Germany-then under the control of Adolf Hitler of the National Socialist (Nazi) Party-forms a new state-owned automobile company, then known as Gesellschaft Zur Vorbereitung des Deutschen Volkswagens mbH. Later that year, it was renamed simply Volkswagenwerk, or "The People's Car Company."

The author's main goal is to spread his love for the Volkswagen hobby to anyone that wants to learn. For him, it's been a lifetime love affair and he is lucky to say that he has turned what he loves into a career. This book will help you to participate in a hobby that has been one of the most fulfilling parts of your life.

The book is written roughly as a blueprint that the author could have handed to 14 years old him to prevent a lot of the mistakes he made along the way. I hope any Volkswagen enthusiast will be able to take something of value away from reading this, but it's primarily directed at newcomers. If you are a brand new or relatively new Volkswagen enthusiast, my goal is to inform and educate you as much as possible so that you can get where you want to go as quickly as possible. Also, I want to arm you with the knowledge that will hopefully help to minimize destruction (to your car, your budget or yourself). I want you to be able to enjoy your car and the Volkswagen community (and maybe become obsessed - it happens a lot) without wrecking your finances, personal relationships or putting yourself in harm's way.
