I bought these timers for the bathroom exhaust fans after noticing rust on the light fixtures. Apparently leaving the fan on removes moisture from the room after a shower. These timers came with preset timers from 1 to 60 minutes and the ability to stop the fan if desired. They were easy to install, BUT be advised that there has to be a SEPARATE ground wire in the wiring to make these work. On the back of the timer there is a red, black and green wire. The red and black wire are for the AC Current and the green wire attaches to the separate ground wire which is usually a bundle of stripped wires inside the workbox. Hook the timer up properly and the blue lights will come on IF the ground wire is connected properly.. I had to sand my ground wire to get it to make a good connection. This is easily installed by a homeowner but you need to know how to use a multimeter to test the circuit if something doesn't work. It took me about 30 minutes to install the first one and about 20 minutes to install the second one. You also need to have the electricity "Hot" to test...
