Erodium variabile, Bishop Form, Heron's Bill: This perennial is one of our Top 10 best plants for miniature gardens and fairy gardens. It spreads up to 2' and grows 3-4" tall. However, when grown in the miniature garden, it can be kept to a smaller size. It can even be grown indoors, in a bright sunroom. This serves as a nice small-scale ground cover and is a great addition to a mixed container planting. It creates a dynamic display of pink/rosy five-petal blooms. All flowers are veined in deep fuchsia and give off a colorful profusion of pink. Deep green, lobed leaves make up the foliage and, when planted in mass, form a mat of green and pink.
