A number of conditions – tendonitis, deQuervain's tendonitis, Gamekeeper's thumb, sprains and strains, post-cast healing, etc. – require immobilization to get better. This wrist brace with thumb spica restricts motion with a brace and a "spica" – part of the brace that spreads the thumb away from the hand. You'll feel better when injured area is allowed to heal while pain, swelling and muscle spasms are reduced.

a little too short. I have one I bought for my left hand years ago and the quality of it is superior. this new one for my right hand doesn't fit my palm or wrist/arm as well. the thumb brace is not up to the quality or shape of my left hand one. thanks for asking.
