In this short paper the author has traced Hahnemann’s struggle and his line of thought with respect to the origin of chronic diseases. She talks about how Hahnemann realised that chronic miasms existed, how he toiled for ten years studying their origin and nature and finally reached a conclusion. She then deals with the individual miasms in detail, giving examples and case histories wherever possible, for a better understanding.
