We bought the canopy for the backyard to give shade to our outdoor chairs and small patio we built. We didn't want a permanent structure yet. The canopy was a quick setup, and with the extra overlap around the edges keeps the chairs shaded, not matter how the sun moves around the yard. With the extra vent at the top it is very stable even in stronger winds.
