Ideal use: K8S EXB OFF-ROAD ONLY!!!

So after about a year of using these, I decided to provide a complete and unbiased review: Rubber compound: significantly thinner than other tires in this category, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it DOES limit use to “off-road”. When these tires are brand new, they can be sticky, so I would not recommend even a “trial test” on pavement, as this will rip the tire horizontally the first time there is a hard-pull on the throttle. Wheel plastic: fairly stiff rim, which does make it prone to cracking when taking on a harder landing on packed dirt. Otherwise, the wheels hold up nicely at speeds of 40-65mph. Anything more and it’s just a matter of time before a rim is cracked. I attribute this to the larger wheel diameter vs MX43, which have a considerable amount of extra rubber between the wheel and the road Performance: the masher X really shine on off-road mixed terrain (think baseball field) where dirt and grass and even rock-bed roads are all in the same playground. Surprisingly, the tires have decent traction in muddy terrain and loose gravel on the horizontal plane. Power transfer is good but not as good as the MX43’s for big jumps. Overall Performance: 4.60 Off-Road Traction: 4.25 Cornering: 5.00 Durability: 4.50 Rubber Quality: 4.75 Value: 4.50 *** These are a great 2nd set of tires to have on hand, with the MX43 being the primary and preferred tire. The Masher X are a great option for those vehicles that have a naturally very low Center of Gravity and that will not be affected too much by the elevated ride height from these Wheels/Tires.

Used on Arrma Kraton 8S Off-Road

I was looking for a good set of Proline tires for my Kraton 8S for the off-road racing I do. I watched a YouTube video and the guy who had them on his K8 was driving on road, off road and launching the truck off of jumps several feet in the air. After speaking with the guy on the side I felt like this was a good tire to try. With these size tires being so expensive I wanted to find one that could do what I needed it to do. I've been running these tires for about 3 weeks and they seem to handle great on the off road track I race at. Except this past weekend I noticed that one of the started to come unglued on the inside. I'm sure most people would say just reglue it and I probably will, but honestly I feel that if I pay this much for tires they should stay together longer. I have another set of prolines on my 1/7 Talion EXB XL and they hold together better and take more of a beating. They handle great in a combination of loose dirty and low grass. My only issue is that the tire has started to come un glued and that's why I gave four stars.

Nice Tires

Using these on a kraton 8s and they've been great, I hit 75 mph with them and use them for jumps. They've preformed great but not the best air control. I also agree the traction sucks in wet grass but I don't run in wet grass, so I didn't care.
