I wanted a product to remove some paint spray and spots on my aluminium tire rims after doing some touchup painting to my older car but found that not only does this stuff rather easily remove metallic spray paint, it also removed many years of stains and corrosive junk from my rims as well without damage to them. I used a simple sponge scrubber from my kitchen to apply the stuff and watched the paint and crud dissolve within a minute. I then rinsed off the rims with water and redid the areas I missed to see my rims which looked like new. I was once quoted $25 a rim to fix this corrosion. But, be careful, since this is powerful stuff, so wear proper gloves and a mask. Protect your eyes! It will eat through the sponge part of the scrubber but the heavy-duty scrubber part worked fine for all four tires. Do not get the stuff on your tires, just the metal rims. It will harm rubber. Traditional car rim cleaners were a waste of money for me.
