I bought it for my child's really small dorm room because its design allows it to function as several pieces of furniture in one. It allows her a place to do homework on her laptop and study, a place to store her textbooks, and a place to display cute items and photos. There's enough room on the desk part for her to have her laptop, books, school supplies, a lamp, and a single use coffee maker with plenty of room to spare. We're so happy with this desk!
