Dated and innocent.

I feel I am being generous with a 3 rating - and it is all because of viewing it from a 2020 perspective. I read about the series in a catalog and because Henry Fonda and Ron Howard was in it - I thought it would be a good collection to my video library. But the fact that this is 2020 and not 1971 - the series is definitely dated and seems simplistic to the modern viewer. I imagine it was really enjoyed in the early 70's but I am watching it with a smile and thinking back to that time and how we thought we were very stylish and up to date. I would not buy it again and would only recommend it to some one wishing to relive that time again.
