these socks are good quality and really are roomier than standard size ladies socks. they fit very well and they are comfortable with a nice quality. they are very soft! the funny thing is i only thought of this brand when it came to my sons. i always bought the more "lady like" socks for myself that looked pretty and cost more money. but since i like to walk around the house in my socks most of the day i love that these are black!

These socks are so comfortable I am very happy they come in a pack of ten to have many for a long time. My last socks were an eight pack of crew socks that were a bit tight above the ankle. This is the kind of sock I have wanted to try for more comfort. The ankle height socks are great in a very hot climate when wearing to the store, work, around the yard, and everywhere. In a cold climate, this ankle sock can be worn underneath thicker, warm socks and they will stay in place and give extra warmth directly to the feet and toes. Fruit of the Loom Women's Ankle Socks do not roll, slip, or slide down. None of my shoes can pull these socks down. Holding them in place is a half inch flat, elastic hem on top that works without feeling too tight on my ankles. The socks are nicely cushioned and at the toe end have a thin, smooth, inner seam on top above and before the toes so it is not uncomfortable. The 1% spandex assures flexible stretch, 48% polyester provides buoyancy of shape, and 51% cotton supplies softness and cushioning. A sock like this, neither to too thin or thick, fits well when worn in all my shoes and boots. Fully covering my ankles, these socks also work fine inside my leather work boots because they are high enough to cover the entire leg area inside the boot several inches above the ankle bones. Without the upper crew part, this style is cooler on my whole leg, promotes more comfort of movement, and fits without any feeling of confining tightness surrounding my lower calf.
