This set of four makes two, two-layer cakes in a smaller size. Just used it today to make Easter cakes. One box mix (Used Pillsbury Zero-Sugar) comes out perfectly. Had to adjust the baking time, but no big deal. They clean-up well and kept the box to store them.

This is all you need!

Nowadays we're all avoiding carbs, so a small cake is ideal for a celebration. These pans are heavy-duty. I used beef tallow (seed oils are poisonous! No crisco!) to grease the bottom of the pan (never grease the sides!), then put in a previously cut circle of waxed paper (parchment will also do) and greased that as well. You could also use lard if you have any. And of course use butter in the batter, not vegetable oil. I made a recipe for a 9" x 9" cake, and evenly divided the batter between the three pans. I kept an eye on it while baking, and I ended up with three perfect layers. The cake was as cute as! I highly recommend!

love these pans. I don't always want a large cake. these are perfect they are deep enough to make a small single layer cake or the cake can be cut in half. I was able to make extra carrot cake for the neighbors on Easter. I followed the instructions and greased the bottom of the pan and also lined with parchment paper cakes slid right out.
