Not sure if I got a dud, something was damaged in shipping or if the bike is just bad. First the seat came ripped, called customer service and they were very good about sending a replacement (downside was they didn't have the seat color that matched my bike in stock). Some of the detail work was also cracked when the bike arrived. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do since it's riveted onto the bike. The seat even with adjustments swivels back and forth no matter how much it's tightened - obviously annoying when it moves while riding the bike. The brakes are another issue. If you want to do a slow roll granny stop this is the bike for you. If you actually want to stop when you use the brake then don't buy this bike. The bike is very pretty, but not very functional in the ways that matter.

My wife has been asking me to get a bike for the past 13 years. I always said no because we lived in an apartment and didn't have room to store one and it would have been a major pain to get in and out of the apartment. We purchased our first home a few years ago, with a garage. So for her birthday I wanted to finally get her a bicycle like she always wanted. It looks great and has cute features I knew she would love: basket, cup holder, the color. Unfortunately, putting the thing together was more of a hassle than it should have been. The instructions were some of the worst I've ever seen. I cannot tighten the handlebars to the frame any tighter and they still shift out of place, making the bike dangerous to use. Also, the "quick release" latch is a nightmare. I've had bikes with this feature before and they were easy to use. This thing, though, requires the strength of Hercules to close it with enough tension to moderately lock the seat in place, and even then, the seat still isn't secure and swivels. And the latch actually bent when I tried to lock it because it required so much force. I wanted my wife to have a wonderful birthday gift, but sadly I think I'm going to return it. What a disappointment. I expected much better quality from a brand like Huffy.
