GRADE 304 STAINLESS STEEL. Grade 304 or Type 304 stainless steel is manufactured for superior rust and corrosion resistance to withstand the elements. T304 is an excellent choice for exposure to moisture and can be used for indoor/outdoor applications.

IWRC 6 STRANDS X 19 WIRES. Our 1/2-inch aircraft cable is constructed of 6 strands, with 19 wires per strand and an independent wire rope core for added flexibility. Breaking strength: 22,800 lb.

CHOOSING GRADE 304 vs GRADE 316 STAINLESS STEEL. Both types of stainless steel are more corrosion resistant than galvanized steel. 304 is a good choice for exposure to many types of freshwater moisture (depending on the mineral content of the water), while 316 is the ideal choice for use in saltwater environments. 304 has a higher Minimum Breaking Strength than 316, but neither are as strong as galvanized.
