Surprise success for a hard starting X5

We were having the hardest time starting our 2009 BMW X5 in the mornings. Research online suggested this was a common problem in cold weather, but it became a problem for us even on warmer days. I braced myself for the worst case scenario! Then, I came across this little jewel! At just $19 plus shipping for the "genuine" BMW replacement Fuel Relay Switch I figured I would at least try it before taking the car for service. Success! So easy to replace, (relay is in the back right quarter panel) just pull the old one out and plug then new one in. Car starts first time, push of the button as it should. Now I don't know if in fact this vehicle will have a problem starting in the cold, it's gotten into the 70's here in NC now and we just bought it back in February, but for now I am pleased. Partsgeek.com was also fast, easy, and prompt with their service.
