Works as described.

This hair dye shampoo worked a described. I have very dark brown/black hair with mild greying mostly in the front. I did not have to use very much to get the coverage I needed, it seemed like a little more than the amount I would use of regular shampoo. I started with applying in the front and then covered my whole head to evenly distribute the coloring effect. It had a mild chemical smell that I expected - not to overly powerful. I did not find it to be overly drying but I did deep condition after rinsing. I used this about every 5 weeks. I was able to get about 7 uses out of a bottle. It seemed like there may have been enough product remaining in the bottle for another application but no way to get it out. Although the price increased almost double I did buy it again and I expect the same results- I feel it's still an okay price per application. of course you'll want to wear disposable gloves and I do recommend you cover your skin( ears, neck, hairline) with Vaseline and a cover your clothing and counter/sink with an old towel during application in case of spills/ drips. I did not have any issues with staining surfaces in the shower when rinsing my hair.
